This policy explains how JE Plastering (also trading as JE Plastering Contractors) handles personal information. We are based in Cheshire and cover Cheshire, Merseyside and North Wales.

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to give us when you ask for a quote or arrange work. That can include:

• Your name and contact details (phone, email, WhatsApp number)
• The address or postcode of the property
• Photos of rooms, elevations or existing finishes that you send
• A description of the plastering or rendering you want done
• Messages you send by phone, email, WhatsApp or Instagram

We do not buy mailing lists. We do not run account logins on this website.

How we collect it

Directly from you, when you call, email, WhatsApp a photo, or message us on Instagram.

Why we use it

We use your details to:

• Reply to enquiries and provide a fixed quote and start date
• Arrange site visits and carry out the work
• Send invoices and keep records of the job
• Deal with any follow-up on the finish

We do not sell your information. We do not use it for bulk marketing.

Lawful basis

Under UK GDPR we rely on:

• Contract - to quote, agree and carry out plastering or rendering work you ask us to do
• Legitimate interests - to answer enquiries, keep basic job records, and run the business in a way you would reasonably expect of a local contractor
• Legal obligation - where tax or other law requires us to keep records

Who we share it with

We share information only where needed to do the work or run the business. That can include:

• Phone, email and WhatsApp providers who carry your messages
• Our accountant or bookkeeper, for invoicing and tax
• Insurers, if a claim requires it
• Other trades on a site, if they need to coordinate with our programme

We do not send your information outside the UK unless a service we use (for example email or WhatsApp) stores it on servers in another country. Where that happens, we rely on the provider's own UK GDPR arrangements.

How long we keep it

Enquiry messages that do not lead to work are kept for up to 12 months, then deleted. Records of quoted and completed work, including invoices, are kept for up to 7 years to meet tax and insurance needs. You can ask us to delete photos you sent once the job is finished, unless we still need them for a dispute or legal record.

Cookies and this website

This site uses only cookies or storage that are strictly necessary for the site to work, if the browser sets any at all. We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or social media tracking pixels. We do not run a cookie banner because we do not set optional cookies.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• See the personal information we hold about you
• Correct information that is wrong
• Delete information, where we do not have a legal reason to keep it
• Restrict or object to how we use it
• Receive a copy of information you provided, in a common format

Children

This site is for homeowners, landlords, developers and builders. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

If we change this policy we will update this page and the date at the top.
